What can I take for a yeast infection during pregnancy?
My obgyn apt isn’t for another week. I’m almost 7 months.
My ob had to write a prescription for me to get rid of my yeast infection early in my pregnancy. I’m guessing that means you need a special kind because she didn’t tell me to get any regular over-the-counter ointments. To be on the safe side, I would stay away from over-the-counter stuff because it may not be safe for pregnant women. Until you are able to see your obgyn, just make sure and keep that area very clean and dry. If you are having irritation on the outside, you may be able to just put some cream on the outside to get rid of the discomfort until you talk to your ob. That should be safe since you are keeping it on the outside. Try a vagisil cream or something on the outside, but definitely consult your ob before putting anything inside. Good luck.
